Introduction

Use this form to apply for a Class E or Class I exemption on an unoccupied property that was previously the main home of a person who is now either a permanent hospital patient, or is in a residential care/nursing home or is receiving personal care due to old age, disability, illness, mental disorder or alcohol/drug dependence.

If any adults are still living in the property, these exemptions won't apply. But if only one adult lives in the property, they can apply for single person discount.

You must continue to pay your Council Tax as billed while we deal with your application. Recovery action may be taken if you don't pay.
